Sales and Marketing Department
The Sales and Marketing department’s responsibilities are to source new business contacts and opportunities by building strong internal and external relationships. The sales team works closely with all departments to ensure that the customers’ needs and requirements are identified, managed and fully supported. The marketing team supports the sales team both locally and centrally from our head office by producing various marketing literature, merchandise and campaigns to ensure that information about our products and services reach our potential customers.
Our hire desk work closely internally with all departments and externally with customers, manufacturers and suppliers to make sure that equipment is available for rent and that all deliveries and collections are to the highest standard. The department aim to ensure that they have the right equipment available at the right time to meet the customer’s requirements. The preparation, transportation and collection of the equipment requires high levels of co-ordination between all involved and it is only possible through a focused team effort. We strive to ensure we remain market leaders in the equipment we offer, staying ahead of the competition when it comes to efficiency, capability and product diversity.
Dawsonrentals sweepers provide an unrivalled customer service experience and on-going support before, during and after hire. We provide a 24/7/365 customer support function, ranging from offering simple advice, through to resolving complex issues. One telephone number is used to contact the reception, and from there, the call is put through to a dedicated service controller for a specific area who will deal with the request swiftly. We have a large network of fully trained strategically based Field Service Engineers and two dedicated Technical Support Engineers who can quickly be arranged to make visits for operator instruction, technical training, repairs or just for advice.
The workshop are responsible for the quality of all maintenance and repair work for anything and everything to do with the chassis and body of any machine which passes through. When a unit arrives back at DRS from hire it is washed and inspected and an estimate submitted for works required to return the unit back to our high standards. Each department is then informed of the repair work required including any modifications and external work, so that all parties can be kept informed and work progress monitored. Once the work is completed and the vehicle inspected, it will be made available to for hire.
The Stores Department are responsible for supporting the workshop and field service engineers by promptly supplying them with the relevant parts that are needed to service and repair the customer vehicles. Vehicle consumables and spare parts sales are also managed by our Stores team.
The Finance Department are responsible for accurately reporting the performance of the company in a timely manner. This is through producing monthly Management Accounts and regular reports on various aspects of the company’s performance including Key Performance Indicators. Costs are controlled through a stringent authorisation process of all purchases and analysing costs against estimates on our projects. The team are encouraged to question things that look different in order to pick up any trends and our procedures ensure that all supplier invoices are paid on time.
